Christmas in November! I just received the Acer Iconia W700 and I’m beginning to unbox it. I ordered it from newegg.com when they briefly had this tablet in stock this past Tuesday. As you may know, the Acer Iconia W700 is one of the first Windows 8 Tablets to be released. What intrigued me most about this tablet was that it included a docking station and a Bluetooth keyboard. It also offered the lowest starting price for a Windows 8 Tablet that contains an Intel core processor.
The Acer Iconia W700 was originally supposed to be released on October 26th, the same date as the Microsoft Surface and Windows 8. I originally pre-ordered the $999 version from Amazon (for $949 actually) but I have yet to see that unit in stock. I canceled that order when I saw the W700 in stock at New Egg. The unit I purchased is the Acer Iconia W700-6691 11.6-Inch Tablet. It comes with Windows 8 Standard, an Intel Core i5 1.7 GHz processor, 4GBs of ram, 64 GBs of storage, and as I mentioned, a docking station and Bluetooth keyboard.
I will be shooting an unboxing video in a minute. For now, check out some of the pictures I’ve taken so far. You can order your Acer Iconia W700 at Amazon.
